[Photo by Parker Zheng/China Daily ] Hong Kong police are searching for three thieves after their gang smashed shop windows and grabbed goods worth more than HK$18 million ($2.3 million) from a jewelry shop in one of Hong Kong's busiest commercial districts. A total of four people were reported to have participated in the heist, which took place at around 11 am Monday at the Treasure Jewellery store on the ground floor of Duke Wellington House on Wellington Street in Central. One man was arrested at the scene and police were searching for the other three, who are reported to be non-Chinese ethnic men. Glass on the shop's front door shattered and a black backpack was found there. The police also found items believed to be used in the theft in a nearby alley and Lan Kwai Fong, one of Hong Kong's most popular nightlife hot spots. These included a mask, a pair of gloves, a black coat and two hammers. A man walks by the Treasure Jewellery store in Hong Kong, March 26, 2018.
